Today is the first day of this year’s Electronic Entertainment Exposition or E3 at Los Angeles! At 12:30 am GMT+8, Microsoft’s Xbox Press Conference was held and here are the highlights from the event!

The first title to be shown is Activision’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. A long gameplay trailer was shown featuring the new tech going into the game. The DLC for the game will be coming first to Xbox One as per the norm of previous Call of Duty titles.

[hr] Up next is Evolve from Turtle Rock Studios. The trailer runs through the classes available in the game as well as giving a sneak peek of one of the new monsters! The Beta will be coming exclusively to Xbox One and DLC will be appearing first on Xbox One as well.
Release Date: 21 October 2014

[hr] New DLC for Dead Rising 3 was announced called the “Super Ultra Dead Rising 3′ Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX + α“. Another game title taking a jab at an older game, this update spoofs the Street Fighter games with their extremely ridiculous naming sense. The update adds the cast of the older Dead Rising games to Dead Rising 3 along with a variety of costumes from many of Capcom’s other titles from their rich history in a hilarious arcade setting.
Release date: Available now.

[hr] Dance Central Spotlight and Fantasia: Music Evolved were  announced by Harmonix. Both titles are exclusive to Xbox. Not much is known about Dance Central Spotlight at the moment but  will be releasing  as a digital title this fall exclusively on the Xbox One. Fantasia: Music Evolved is a rhythm music game with a Disney spin based on the original 1940 movie Fantasia.
Dance Central Spotlight release date: Fall 2014

[hr] The next title is Fable Legends. It will have 4-player co-op as shown in the gameplay trailer with the ability to play as the villain, masterminding the entire map and controlling the fates of the 4 heroes like a MALEVOLENT GOD. A multiplayer beta is set to be released this year.
Release date: Fall 2014

[hr] The first new IP unveiled at the event comes from Moon Studios. It is called Ori and the Blind Forest which seems to be a sidescrolling action platform with an art style similar to Child of Light.

[hr] Playdead, the makers of the hit title Limbo, showed a new trailer for the next title Inside. It is similar in style to Limbo in style with 2D environments with characters moving in the background.

The collection will feature Halo 1-4 with Halo 2 getting the Anniversary treatment. Every multiplayer map from all the games will be making a return in their original forms. That is all the big news coming from Microsoft’s Xbox E3 Press Conference! This year, Microsoft really stepped up their game for E3, showing tons and tons of game titles with almost zero mention of the Kinect. They definitely got their priorities right this year and I enjoy watching all these new titles. I don’t even have a Xbox One and I don’t plan to get one in the near future but if I do, I’m definitely getting Sunset Overdrive, Scalebound and the Master Chief Collection!

So what do you guys think of Microsoft’s E3 conference this year? Do you like their new focus on games or did you want to see more non core game content? Share your thoughts below!
