[ANIME] Gundam Build Fighters Try set its sights for October!

Brace yourselves folks, the second season of Gundam Build Fighters is officially unveiled! Earlier this week, the second season of the surprise hit Gundam Build Fighters is officially unveiled as Gundam Build Fighters Try! Here’s the official synopsis:

The team of Sei Iori and Reiji were the winners of the 7^th Gunpla Battle Championship and 7 years have passed since that date. The championship series are now taken over by Yajima Trading whom introduced an all new way of battling which have reached a widespread audience.

However one school was left behind in this widespread popularity sweep. The Seiho Academy that Sei Iori once attended failed to catch on. The only members in the school’s Gunpla Battle Club is its president, Fumina Hoshino. Due to that she unable to take part in the middle and high school division of the upcoming All-Japan Gunpla Battle Championship where a team of three is needed.

One day however, She meets a transfer student, Sekai Kamiki, a young martial artist who has been travelling with his master. Together with a young Gunpla Builder named Yuuma Kousaka, they finally have a team of three.

And here are the new characters debuting in this new series:

Sekai Kamiki CV: Kazumi Togashi

A second-year student who has transferred to Seiho Academy middle school, and a master of the Jigen Haoh school of martial arts. Sekai’s encounter with Fumina Hoshino introduces him to Gunpla Battle, leading him to discover how enjoyable and deep it can be.

Yuuma Kousaka CV: Yuuma Uchida

A second-year student at Seiho Academy middle school, and younger brother of China Kousaka. Yuuma is a gifted young Gunpla builder, with enough talent to win the Grand Prix in a modeling tournament’s Artistic Gunpla Contest.

Fumina Hoshino CV: Yui Makino

A third-year student at Seiho Academy middle school. Fumina is president of the Gunpla Battle Club, and is busy trying to collect members for her club, so that they can compete in the middle and high-school division of the Championship.

And lastly, here’s the new Gunpla you can expect to see this upcoming season!

Build Burning Gundam

The Gunpla used by Sekai Kamiki. It is near complete, and it can be controlled with ease even by  beginners to Gunpla Battle like Sekai. The Build Burning Gundam excels in melee combat, where Sekai can make use of his Jigen Haoh school martial arts techniques to the best of his ability. HG model kit set to release in October.

Lightning Gundam

Yuuma Kousaka’s Gunpla, which has been built based on the Re-GZ from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. The Back Weapon System has been improved with Yuuma’s own modifications. This Gunpla specializes in long-range shooting to complement the Build Burning’s melee specifications. HG model kit set to release in November.

Winning Gundam

An original SD Gundam Gunpla built by Fumina Hoshino for the All-Japan Gunpla Battle Championship. It makes full use of its characteristics as an SD Gundam, and is loaded with various gimmicks such as recombining transformation. Model kit planned but no release date currently.

The series is set to begin in October 2014, the same timeframe that Gundam: Reconguista in G is set to begin. The Gunpla will also be rolling out from October onwards. Keep a lookout for more information on Gundam Build Fighters Try!

It seem that for the very first time we will have TWO concurrent Gundam series later this year! How awesome is that? I’m really looking forward to hear more of Gundam Build Fighter Try, all the cool new custom Gunpla and the official start date in days to come!
