The official website reports new cast details relating to the upcoming anime adaptation of Arslan Senki.

Takayuki Sugo (Raizen in Yu Yu Hakusho) will voice King Andragoras III, Arslan’s father, while Atsuko Tanaka (Echidna in Black Cat) will voice Queen Tahamine, Arslan’s mother. Eizou Tsuda (Hiashi Hyuuga in The Last: Naruto the Movie) will voice Vafleez, Daryun’s uncle, and Toru Ohkawa (Isami Kondu in Hakuouki) will voice General Karlan, a general in Parsian army.

Other cast members who will also appear are Hiroki Yasumoto (Lord Zundar in Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei Bu Love!) who will voice Kishuard, a fighter guarding Peshwald Fortress, Kenta Miyake (Tonzra in Yoru no Yatterman) who will voice Kubad, a former lord in the Parsian army and 9th Seiyuu Award best supporting male voice actor, Katsuyuki Konishi (Koutarou Amon in Tokyo Ghoul) who will voice Jaswant.

Portraying the King Innocentius VII, the king of small kingdom Lusitania, is voice actor Toshiharu Sakurai (Tompa in Hunter x Hunter – 2011). Voicing King Innocentius’ brother, Prince Giskarl, is veteran seiyuu Takehito Koyasu (Dio Brando in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) and  voicing the religious leader of Lusitania, Bodan, is Shiro Saito (Hyoukou in Kingdom 2 ).

They will be joining previously announced cast Yuuki Kaji, Maaya Sakamoto, KENN, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Natsuki Hanae and Yuusuke Kobayashi in the series.

Arslan Senki (Heroes of Arslan) is based on a Japanese novel series written by Yoshiki Tanaka. The story is about a young, naive prince of Pars, Arslan (CV: Yuusuke Kobayashi), who in the eyes of many seem to be weak and inexperienced. He lived in the shadow of his father, King Andragoras (CV: Takayuki Sugo), a king who led victorious battles and was feared by many. Arslan, at the tender age of 14, sets out to his first battle only to be defeated in the end. The once glorious kingdom is now in shambles. As it is written in Arslan’s destiny, he takes on an onerous journey. He assembles a group of five gallant allies— priestess Falangies (CV: Maaya Sakamoto), a once high-ranking military personnel Daryun (CV: Yoshimasa Hosoya), musician Gieve (CV:KENN) , the tactician Narsus(CV:Daisuke Namikawa) and his attendant, Elam (CV: Natsuki Hanae) — to help him in his quest to regain his kingdom.

The anime will based on the manga that is written and drawn by Fullmetal Alchemist’s Hiromu Arakawa. Arslan Senki TV is set to premiere on 5 April 2015.

Eir Aoi’s song, Lapis Lazuli (ラピスラズリ), will be used as the series’ ending theme song, while UVERWORLD’s song “Boku no Kotoba Dewanai Kore wa Bokutachi no Kotoba” (僕の言葉ではない これは僕達の言葉) will be used as the series’ opening theme song.
