During the Business Day for Anime Japan 2015, several flyers for the upcoming The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan anime were distributed with some very important announcements about the Haruhi Suzumiya spin-off

The flyers, which were also given out in English, confirmed that the anime will be a 16 episode series along with one OVA.

The flyer also confirmed that the Nagato in the anime will not be following the “kuudere alien” we know and love from the main series, but the shy and normal one we were introduced to in “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. It also teases some romance as it says that  “Nagato… falls in love for the first time”.

The anime will be based on the anime’s official spin-off manga by Puyo which will focus on the alternate world introduced in “Disappearance”.

The anime’s main cast will return from the main series as Aya Hirano (Fairy tail’s Lucy Heartfilia) resumes her iconic role as Haruhi Suzumiya, while Minori Chihara (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere’s Horizon Ariadust) resumes her role as Yuki Nagato. Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama’s Gintoki Sakata) meanwhile resumes his role as Kyon, while Yuko Goto (Shuffle!’s Kaede Fuyou) resumes her role as Mikuru Asahina.
