Nanoha fans, mark your calendars, because according to its official website, the Nanoha spin-off anime, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, will make its long-awaited premiere this 3 April 2015 at 22:30 Japan standard time. The official website also featured the series’ new key visual


The official website has posted the anime’s latest PV, which introduces Vivio Takamachi, the main character of the series and the daughter of the series’ two original main characters, Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa.

Vivio was that little girl who was rescued during the course of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS and was later adopted by Nanoha. She got attached to both Nanoha and Fate enough that she calls both of them “mama”. Yes folks, Vivio has two moms and has basically been raised by both of them.

ViVid is actually a spin-off of a spin-off as its original series, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, is actually a spin-off of the Triangle Heart adult visual novel series. The anime will be based on the spin-off manga illustrated by Takuya Fujima and written by Masaki Tsuzuki. Both Yukari Tamura (Nanoha) and Nana Mizuki (Fate) will be reprising their iconic roles.
