[EVENT] Official Angel Beats! Itasha unveiled during Anime Japan 2015

During Anime Japan 2015, the Workbank booth unveiled an official itasha inspired by one of Key and Aniplex’s most popular and heart-wrenching titles – Angel Beats

The official Angel Beats! itasha features the members of SSS as well as “the angel”, Kanade Tachibana. The itasha was made to promote the upcoming Angel Beats!: 1st Beat visual novel, which is scheduled for release for Windows PCs on 29 May 2015. 1st Beat will cover the anime’s first 10 episodes and will also include the routes for Iwasawa, Matsushita, and Yui.

Several booth cosplayers were also part of the exhibit for the Angel Beats! official itasha, and they cosplayed Yuri “Yurippe” Nakamura, “the angel” Kanade Tachibana, and Girls Dead Monster drummer, Miyuki Irie.

Angel Beats! is a 13-episode anime which aired back in 2010, and was written and created by Jun Maeda, who is also responsible for other tearjerkers by Key, such as Kanon, Air, Clannad, and Little Busters!. Besides the upcoming visual novel, the anime has also inspired two OVA’s, the second of which, Hell’s Kitchen, is scheduled for release on 24 June, as well as several mangas and light novels.
