With Mobile Suit Gundam’s 35th anniversary celebrations already in full gear, Bandai has collaborated with Japanese watch makers, Casio, for a very special Gundam 35th Anniversary G-shock watch.
It was released last September 2014 in limited quantities and were sold for 18,000 yen. Just like the RX-78-2 Gundam it is based on, the watch is highly resistant to shocks, hard knocks, and vibrations, also a trait of Casio’s G-Shock series.
The Gundam watch is based on Casio’s GD-100 model G-shock watch but is customized with the colors of the original Gundam, the RX-78-2. If you light up the watch’s LED, the insignia of the RX-78-2’s pilot, Amuro Ray, can also be seen.
And speaking of logos, the strap also features the Earth Federation Space Force (EFSF) logo.
The Gundam G-Shock watch also comes with a special case as well as a special Gundam cushion to protect this limited edition watch.
