In a new three-way collaboration between Radio EVA, sneaker maker, fobs, and Factotum, they will be releasing four new sneaker designs which are inspired by the Evangelion 3.0 anime movie.
The collaboration is part of the 20th anniversary celebration of Neon Genesis Evangelion, which was first aired in Japan back in 1995 and changed the anime landscape forever. Each pair will cost 33,000 yen plus tax and will be released starting late July 2015.
The shoes are inspired by Unit 01 (pictured above), Unit 00 prototype, Unit 02, and Evangelion Mark.6. They will come in 23.0cm, 24.0cm, 25.0cm, 26.0cm, 27.0cm, and 28.0cm sizes. The shoes are also “transformable” and you can change its shape through as series of velcro straps around the shoes.
These Evangelion sneakers can be purchased at ZOZOTOWN, Radio EVA, and the Eva Store. They could also be pre-ordered online via the Radio EVA official website
