The Naruto Exhibition has finally opened in Tokyo and it’s official guestbook, the Shinden Fuu no Sho, has even revealed Kakashi Hatake’s true face! That very guestbook, which is also illustrated by Naruto creator, Masashi Kishimoto himself, has also revealed something else – a new character whom will be introduced in Boruto: Naruto the Movie!

Named Mitsuki, which literally means “full moon” in Japanese, the official guest book describes him as:

“An enigma shrouded in many mysteries. A boy with a composed expression… His slightly-long white hair has a waviness to it.”

So what is Mitsuki exactly? Is he an ally? Is he a friend? Several fans have once again formulated theories as to his identity, which range from being the third member of Boruto and Sarada’s 3-man team, to a villain, and even a key character to Boruto’s development. He also looks a bit like Gaara leading a few fans to theorize he is his son.

Boruto: Naruto the Movie will premiere in Japan on 7 August. Hiroyuki Yamashita, an episode director for Naruto Shippuden, will be directing the anime movie. Meanwhile Naruto creator, Masashi Kishimoto, has been quite active in the movie’s production as he is credited with its original story, script, and character designs, as well as being the movie’s chief production supervisor.
