Autumn 2015 is shaping up to be a good one as issue 26 of Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine has announced that the second season for the hit volleyball anime, Haikyuu!!, will be making its long-awaited premiere this October. A new key visual for the new season has also been revealed.

The new season will also feature a new manager for the Karasuno High School volleyball club, and her name is Hitoka Yachi. As revealed in the official Haikyuu!! twitter page, she will be voiced by the 16-year old rookie seiyuu, Sumire Morohoshi, who is voicing Aikatsu!’s Ichigo Hoshimiya.

The new season will be broadcast in Japan via MBS, TOKYO MX, CBC, and BS11. Two compilation movies from the anime’s first season will also be screened in Japanese cinemas this summer, right before the second season makes its October premiere. The first compilation movie, titled “Owari to Hajimari” will premiere this 3 July while the second compilation movie, “Shousha to Haisha” will premiere this 18 September.
