An original animation DVD (OAD) has been announced for the hit adventure anime, Yona of the Dawn (Akatsuki no Yona) and will feature two new stories not found in the anime’s run.
According to the announcement by Hana to Yume magazine’s official website, the new OAD will be coming bundled with the 19th volume of Mizuho Kusanagi’s popular manga series. The Yona of the Dawn OAD will adapt the two bonus chapters from the manga’s 12th volume which are titled “On its Back” and “Kija”. “On its Back” will focus on the events after the “Hot Springs Incident” while Kija focuses on the origins of Hakuryuu Kija.
The limited edition version of the manga’s volume 19, which comes with the OAD, will be released on 18 September 2015 and will cost 3,996 yen.
