Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the sequel to their Gundam: Battle Operation PlayStation game, Gundam: Battle Operation NEXT. Like its predecessor, it features an all-out mobile suit team battle where players can choose between the Zeon side and the Earth Federation side.

Gundam: Battle Operation was launched back in 2012 for the PlayStation 3, and it became the very first free-to-play Gundam game in existence, and now, its sequel, Gundam: Battle Operation NEXT, will also feature that same free-to-play feature, which is certainly a good news to many Gundam fans.

Bandai Namco has released the game’s Beta version last 30 April and will be available at the PlayStation Network until 3 May, and of course, the Beta version is also free-to-play.

The original game allowed 4 – 6 players to team up and choose either the Zeon side or the Earth Federation side. They can also choose the mobile suit they want to fight in and they can even choose to fight using gigantic mobile armor and mobile suits. The game also allows players to even fight on foot or non mobile-weapon vehicles. Gundam: Battle Operation NEXT will be available for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
