With the 2015 anime adaptation of the popular 90’s battle manga “Ushio and Tora” premiering this 3 July, the anime’s official twitter page has made a few important announcements regarding new cast addition and the number of episodes the anime will be having.
According to the twitter page, Nana Mizuki (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha’s Fate Testarossa and Naruto’s Hinata Hyuuga) will be voicing the character of Hinowa Sekimori.
The twitter page also unveiled the addition of Maaya Sakamoto (Ghost in the Shell: Arise’s Motoko Kusanagi and Gundam SEED Destiny’s Lunamaria Hawke) as Sumako Aotsuki.
Meanwhile, Yoshimasa Hosoya (Chihayafuru’s Arata Wataya and Death Parade’s Ginti) will be voicing Nagare Akiba.
This new Ushio and Tora anime will be the second time the classic manga by Kazuhiro Fujita is getting an anime adaptation as a 10-episode OVA was released between 1992 until 1993. The anime will follow Ushio, a young boy who happens to find the demon, Tora, impaled in his basement. Ushio is forced to free Tora in order to fight malevolent spirits attacking his family and friends
