Japan’s most iconic mascot character, Hello Kitty, has now teamed up with one of Japan’s most famous idol anime franchises, Love Live!. Sanrio’s iconic mascot will be wearing the “KiRa-KiRa Sensation” previously worn by the nine μ’s members, Nico, Eli, Nozomi, Umi, Honoka, Kotori, Maki, Hanayo, and Rin.
This new Hello Kitty X Love Live! collaboration was made to promote the upcoming Love Live! School Idol Movie, premiering this 13 June. The collaboration will feature exclusive merchandise which will be sold in various Japanese cinemas as the Love Live! movie is running.
The Hello Kitty X Love Live! collaboration will cost 350 yen each while the collaboration pens will cost 450 yen each
Meanwhile, the collaboration’s mini towels will cost 750 yen in the cinemas while the the both the stuffed pouches (with mirror) and the pouches will cost 1,950 yen each.
Finally, the Hello Kitty stuffed mascots are priced at 1,500 yen each and the Hello Kitty plushies will cost 4,200 yen each
The excitement for the new movie is so big that long lines have formed in Japan on the night before the advanced sales of the tickets actually begin! In our previous article, it was revealed that the movie will be shown all over the world, including Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, and Thailand, and all these countries have very solid Love Live! fan bases, so be sure that the lines for this movie will be long too!
