With the premiere of the first of two live-action Attack on Titan movies looming in the horizon, new visuals from that first movie have finally been released. They feature some of the scenes we might expect from the movie. These screenshots show actor Haruma Miura as main character, Eren Yeager, as well as other familiar characters like “Potato Girl” Sasha, Hanji, the Colossal Titan, and Mikasa.

These screenshots are featured in the July issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Bessatsu Shounen magazine (top image), which serializes Hajime Isayama’s worldwide bestseller. The movies also contain several new characters and this next set of screenshot previews a few of them as well as some flashback scenes from Eren, Mikasa, and Armin’s past.

The screenshots also include Shikishima, “humanity’s strongest man” who is played by Hiroki Hasegawa. The live-action films somehow do not include one of the series’ most popular characters, Levi, “humanity’s strongest soldier”. However, it seems that the producers are hoping that Shikishima might fill that gap.
