The official website and the official twitter for the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin series has just made a few big and exciting announcements. This includes the release date for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin: Artesia’s Sorrow, set on 31 October 2015. It will be shown for a limited time of 2 weeks across 15 theaters. Their twitter also unveiled the new key visual which shows a very young Amuro Ray. Can you spot him?

Speaking of Amuro, it has been revealed that his original seiyuu, Tohru Furuya (Dragonball’s Yamcha and Saint Seiya’s Pegasus Seiya) will be reprising his most iconic role as the White Devil of the Federation. Also announced are the new additions to the cast: Ayumi Fujimura (Squid Girl’s Eiko Aizawa and Hayate the Combat Butler!’s Chiharu Harukaze), who will be taking over the role of Mirai Yashima, the future wife of White Base captain, Bright Noa. She takes over the role from Fuyumi Shiraishi. Finally, Toshihiro Seki, who is definitely no stranger to the Gundam franchise, previously voicing Rau Le Creuset for Gundam SEED and Duo Maxwell for Gundam Wing, he will now be voicing the boy who meets Casval/ Edward Mass, Char Aznable… the real one whose identity was stolen.

It has also been revealed that the anime’s Blu-Ray edition will be released 7 November 2015. Advance tickets to catch the theatre screenings are also now available at Gundam Front Tokyo in Odaiba for 1,300 yen.
