Tokyo Ghoul has a very special “present” for fans this Christmas as a new OVA for the popular action-horror anime has been announced for release exactly on 25 Dec 2015 in Japan. This new OVA will be based on one of the stories found in the Tokyo Ghoul Hibi light novel by series creator Sui Ishida and writer Towada. Below is the teaser promotional trailer:

Titled Tokyo Ghoul [PINTO], this new OVA will serve as another prequel to the main series, and will follow a younger version of the gourmet ghoul himself, Shuu Tsukiyama. He will once again be voiced by Mamoru Miyano (Uta no Prince-sama’s Tokiya Ichinose and Free!’s Rin Matsuoka).

Tsukiyama sure looks different in his younger days. The OVA will also be introducing a new character named Chie Hori, who was introduced in the Tokyo Ghoul:re manga but has yet to appear on any anime adaptation until this new OVA. Her seiyuu will be announced in the days to come.
