Neon Genesis Evangelion premiered back in 1995 and is now celebrating its 20th anniversary. The classic mecha anime recently teamed up with another 20th anniversary celebrant, Japanese juice-makers, KagomeCo., for a very special collaboration which sees the Eva pilots taking on a gigantic tomato with an AT Field.

And that doesn’t stop there. The collaboration also includes a new TV ad narrated by legendary seiyuu, Kotono Mitsuishi (voices Misato Katsuragi in the Eva anime and is known for voicing Usagi Tsukino in Sailor Moon). The ad is a parody of Evangelion’s “next episode preview” and is supposedly set right after the gigantic tomato was defeated.

The campaign also features a lottery where people who submit ten proofs of purchase of Kagome products, including their Vegetable Life 100 drinks, will get to join a lottery where they can win various Eva-themed prizes. The prizes range from steel tumblers (500 winners) to Evangelion breakfast plates (1000 winners), and an Eva Unit-01 drinking straw (2000 winners).
