After being announced back in 2012 and spending years in development limbo, Shaft announced that they will finally be restarting their new Mahou Shoujo (Magical Girl) anime project, Prism Nana. They also confirmed that it will be released as an original video animation (OVA).
The announcement was made in their official facebook page, including an image of a standee featuring the three main magical girls from the anime. It was announced that the anime is slated for release either autumn or winter this year, and more details on this OVA will be announced during Comiket 88, which will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight from 14 – 16 August 2015.
The anime was originally announced back in 2012, however, no new announcements were made other than the fact it received several prototype nendoroids, a pachislot machine, and a promotional video series.
The anime will follow the trio of Kotone Oribe (CV: Eri Kitamura, the voice of The [email protected]’s Makoto Kikuchi), Itaru Washioka (CV: Suzuko Mimori, the voice of Love Live!’s Umi Sonoda), and Asuka Asagi (CV: Asami Imai, the voice of the [email protected]’s Chihaya Kisaragi). The story is set in the not so distant future.
