September 5: TEMPURA KIDZ, WORLD ORDER, Yasutaka Nakata, CAPSULE

TEMPURA KIDZ

A five member dance performance group that is known for their dynamic and truly unique shows. After performing as backup dancers for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, they made their major-label debut in Mar 2013 with their first single “ONE STEP.” We personally like “CIDER CIDER” featured above.

WORLD ORDER

Formed in Tokyo in 2009 as a 7-member dance performance unit. Styled as a parody of the “Hardworking Japanese salaryman”, they created a style unique to them. Their slow-motion dance in the streets is quite captivating! You may also remember them from our article featuring them dancing with pikachu! 

Yasutaka Nakata and CAPSULE

Recognised as one of the industry-top talents, Yasutaka Nakata has produced many chart-toplie ping hits for popular artistes such as Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. He has also worked with international pop stars such as Kylie Minogue and Alexandra Stan. He also produced music for many Japanese films and Western films too (Star Trek Into the Darkness).

As CAPSULE with vocalist Toshiko Koshijima, they came together as a unit in 1997 and has performed at some of the world’s biggest music festivals. Their performances are well known for their superb quality, incorporating sound, visuals and lighting to bring an almost club vibe on stage.

September 6: Hachioji P, KZ(livetune) featuring Yano Anna, TEMPURA KIDZ, yanaginagi

Hachioji P

Known as the “Prince of Vocaloid music”, this talented music creator and DJ has produced memorable tracks using the Vocaloid software. His work, “Sweet Devil” has a view count of over 8 million! His first major album, “Electric love” debuted on the Oricon charts at #11 in 2012.

KZ(livetune)

One of the most influential Vocaloid producers, he has worked with popular anime song artists such as ClariS and May’n. He also collaborated with famous EDM artists such as ZEDD and Afrojack.

Yano Anna

Anna Yano is a versatile artist and model who effortlessly pulls off any look from her signature kawaii style to lolita. In August 2013, she released, “Shape My story” a track produced by KZ(livetune). She has performed the theme songs for anime such as Mahou Shoujo Taisen and Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C3-bu. As an artiste and model, she frequently travels around the world to promote Harajuku fashion and culture.

Yanaginagi

Beginning her music adventure in 2006, her aim is to create music that is similar to a fairy tale, depicting scenes of nostalgia and a casual lifestyle. Yanajinagi previously performed with popular producer supercell under the name “nagi”. Utaite fans may also know her under her other name, “Gazelle”. In 2012, she made her major solo debut and has performed theme songs for anime such as Amnesia, Bakemonogatari, Black Bullet, Nagi no asukaram Naruto: Shippuden and many more.
