Kuroko’s Basketball fans rejoice! They have much reason to celebrate because as the Kuroko’s Basketball event known as KuroBas Cup 2015, which happened last Sunday, had one very important announcement regarding the anime adaptation of Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s bestselling sports manga.


The event announced that a theatrical movie form the anime has been green-lit, and it sent many fans into a frenzy. After fans attending the event tweeted the announcement to social media, the anime’s official website then confirmed the announcement that there will indeed be a Kuroko’s Basketball movie in the works. However, no further details on the movie, such as its story, staff, cast, and release date, have been made so far.

The bestselling basketball manga ended its run in Weekly Shounen Jump! last year, with its sequel manga, Kuroko’s Basketball: Extra Game, having its run in Jump NEXT Magazine. Expect more announcements about this new Kuroko’s Basketball movie to be made in the days ahead. Now who is excited for this one?
