After a lengthy period of waiting, it’s safe to say, they’re baaaaaaaaaaaaack!
Though no exact release date was set, The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) are set to return in 2016. This was announced in a TV ad, which was aired during the final episode of The Heroic Legend of Arslan. Needless to say, much celebrating was done as the ad premiered.
Meliodas, Elizabeth, Diane, Ban, King, , Merlin, and Gowther are all set to make their return in this new anime, which will once again be produced by A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online). Based on Nakaba Suzuki’s bestselling shounen fantasy manga, the anime will once again be directed by Tensai Okamura, who previously directed the original anime.
The upcoming 2016 anime will once again follow Princess Elizabeth as she tries to gather the members of the legendary Seven Deadly Sins, who were wrongly accused of a crime they did not commit and were branded as criminals and traitors by the Holy Knights of the kingdom they serve.
