[ANIME] Ayana Taketatsu, Ayumi Fujimura, Mai Nakahara, and more join cast of the Girls und Panzer der Film

An animated feature film with an all-original story has gotta introduce some new characters, right? And that is why the official website for Girls und Panzer has announced that Girls und Panzer der Film will be introducing plenty of them, eleven new characters to be exact. The new characters are:

Ayana Taketatsu (K-On!’s Azusa Nakano and Sword Art Online’s Leafa/ Suguha) as Arisu

Ayumi Fujimura (Hayate the Combat Butler’s Chiharu Harukaze and Bakuman’s Aiko Iwase) as Megumi

Yuko Iida (Witch Craft Works’s Mei Menowa) as Azumi

Mai Nakahara (Clannad’s Nagisa Furukawa and Fairy Tail’s Juvia Loxar) as Rumi

The characters whose respective schools were revealed are:

Madoka Yonezawa (K-ON!’s Ui Hirasawa and Genshiken: Second Generation’s Kumiko Yabusaki) as Tamada from Chihatan Academy

Naomi Oozora ([email protected] Cinderella Girls’ Chieri Ogata and Inari Kon Kon’s Inari Fushimi) as Fukuda from Chihatan Academy

Natsumi Takamori ([email protected] Cinderella Girls’ Miku Maekawa and Pet Girl of Sakurasou’s Misaki Kamiigusa) as Rosehip from  St. Gloriana Girls High School

Jenya (An actual Russian seiyuu who voiced Lady Doubt in Mysterious Joker) as Clara from Pravda Girls High School

Mamiko Noto (Hell Girl’s Ai Enma and Kimi ni Todoke – From Me to You’s Sawako Kuronuma) as Mika from Keizoku High School

Shino Shimoji (Aikatsu!’s Akari Oozora) as Aki from  Keizoku High School

Miho Ishigami (rookie seiyuu) as Mikko from Keizoku High School

Asami Seto (Chihayafuru’s Chihaya Ayase and Selector Infected Wixoss’ Iona Urazoe) as Chihatan Academy’s unit commander Kinuyo Nishi

They also revealed a new tank that will be appearing in the anime, and it will be the Type 95 Ha-Go from the Japanese Imperial Army.

Girls und Panzer der Film will be making its long-awaited Japanese premiere on 21 November 2015 and will have an all-original story.
