In celebration of Back to the Future Week, which includes the very day that Marty McFly arrived in our future (21 Oct 2015) from 1985, not one, several cafes in Japan have gotten in the spirit of the movies by taking on a Back to the Future theme. The themes includes food and cosplay inspired by the classic science fiction movie series!
A total of five cafes in Japan (Great Scott!) have taken in the theme, and several memorabilia and props have been displayed in these theme cafes, including the Delorean itself!
Tokyo’s Trattoria Paradiso and Sweets Paradise restaurants in Chiba, Osaka, Hyogo, and Okayama have all taken the Back to the Future theme seriously to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, and they showed a lot of stuff, including the 21 October edition of USA Today from the movie and some costumes and props from the movies. Great Scott, are those them self-tying Nike shoes?!
They are also offering a Delorean Cake, a Back to the Future parfait, and a time coffee for these theme cafes. Now, if only they could serve those rehydrated pizzas the movie promised us about…
Oh, and we’re still waiting for those hoverboards mind you. They could arrive any day by now…
