Like the previous seasons, this new one will be focusing on Japanese urban legends, which will certainly scare the wits out of anyone. Yami Shibai may be an animated short series, but it certainly has made a strong reputation for being frightening, using techniques from J-horror movies to scare its viewers. The third season promises to bring back the scares on January 2016, as it will add over 100 new weird, scary, and creepy characters.

Takashi Taniguchi and Tomohisa Ishikawa have been tagged to direct this new series over at ILCA, with Anima handling the CG production to keep the scares a bit more realistic. Hiromu Kumamoto and Satoko Kishi meanwhile, will be returning to write the series’ scripts.
