As the My Hero Academia hype train is building up steam, the character designs for the upcoming hero anime’s two main characters have finally been unveiled. One is for the powerless boy, dreaming to be a hero, Izuku Midoriya, the other being the legendary hero, All Might, also known as Toshinori.

These character designs were made by Heart Catch Pretty Cure! character designer, Yoshiko Umakoshi, who even managed to impress the manga’s original creator, Kouhei Horikoshi. The animation for this new anime will be produced by BONES, with Gundam Build Fighters director, Kenji Nagasaki, at the helm. He will be re-teaming with Gundam Build Fighters writer, Yousuke Kuroda, for this much-anticipated anime adaptation.

Based on Kouhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) manga, it is set in a world where super powers are commonplace. However, it follows one boy without any powers (or quirks) at all, Izuku Midoriya, who despite not having any powers, he still dreams of becoming a hero.
