After performing the anime’s first OP song, Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets will be performing the second season’s OP theme, which will be titled “GATE II ~Sekai o Koete~”. The single CD will be released on 27 January 2016. Meanwhile, for the second ED song, the anime’s three female lead cast members, Nao Touyama (Lelei la Lelena), Hisako Kanemoto (Tuka Luna Marceau), and Risa Taneda (Rory Mercury), will once again be performing the anime’s ED song. Like the new OP song, this ED theme song will be released as a single on 27 January 2016.

The second season will pick up where the first one left off, and will be following the Flame Dragon arc from the light novel series written by former Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF) officer, Kaku Tatakaeri.
