After a very successful run together, since 2010, the seiyuu unit from anime, Love Live!, known as μ’s (read as Muse) will be disbanded in April 2016. This sad news was revealed at a special program aired via Tokyo MX, Bandai Channel, and Niconico.
The announcement mentions that the muses of Love Live! will be saying one final farewell in a concert to be held at the Tokyo dome from 31 March until 1 April 2016, titled “μ’s Final Love Live!”
The special program also announced plans for special events leading up to the final concert, including screenings of the movie, TV anime, and other concerts. Also announced is μ’s final single to be released on 2 March 2016, just before their contract’s expiration somewhere around the end of March 2016.
It was reported by Tokyo Sports Web that the contracts for nine members of μ’s will expire by the end of March 2016 and they will not be renewing it any further.
66th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen
Before their popular and historic run ends, μ’s received the honor of being able to perform at the 66th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, one of Japan’s most prestigious musical event of the musical industry.
Given that they will be breaking up next year, this might be their only appearance in the annual New Year special.
So to the nine muses of Love Live!, thank you so much for the 5 years worth of enjoyment!

yay!!!!!
Feel very sad about this . They’ve come so far , to end up breaking apart . Contract ends ? Why not just renew it or something ? Since its so popular why not just carry on ….
Don’t be too sad, most of the talented seiyuu involved still have their solo career that we can follow.
Not only that Sunshine will be starting soon!
Because Aqours can’t take over if the old is still present.
Finally
Suddenly this live become a “must go” for LLer…
…and that kids, is how the band “Muse” was formed
That’s sad
AFA, pls pls just try to get all 9 seiyuus to appear at ILoveAnisong next year.. just please. their last live means it’s their last performance w just 9 of them. meaning there will be other performances for μ’s, just not a “one-man live” (as said by Emitsun herself)
AFA may be the only chance some of us will get to see all 9 μ’s live.. so please.
