2016 may not be here yet, but the year has already shaped up to be a year full of break-ups. Not only will Love Live!’s μ’s be breaking up, but also the vocal unit from Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova, Trident, who are made up of Mai Fuchigami (Iona/ I-401), Manami Numakura (Takao), and Hibiku Yamamura (Haruna).

According to a new video posted by Flying Dog, the group will be going their separate ways on 3 April 2016, but they are releasing a full album, as well as performing one final concert before their final separation.

The final Trident album will be titled “Blue,” and it will also have a special limited first edition Blu-ray featuring the music video for “Blue Friend~Finale~” and “Blue Destiny,” together with footage from their second live. Meanwhile, the final concert, “Thank you for your Blue,” will be held at the Makuhari Mess in Chiba on 3 April.

While they may not have had the same long tenure as μ’s, the group has gotten quite the following, as all three Arpeggio ship girl members have proven to be very popular. Trident was founded back in 2013 for the Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova anime, and they performed both of its ED songs, “Blue Field” and “Innocent Blue.”
