Japan’s national baseball team is one of the most feared baseball teams on Earth, having won a world title and scoring victories on baseball giants like the United States and the Dominican Republic. The team, which is also known as Samurai Japan, also boasts several heavy hitters from America’s Major League Baseball (MLB), as well as being ranked #1 by the International Baseball Federation.

And now, this feared sporting heavyweight is teaming up with… Mr. Osomatsu!

During a warm-up exhibition match against Chinese Taipei, 300 Mr. Osomatsu-themed seats will be available, with each seat being decorated with one of nine characters, which includes the sextuplets and three yet-to-be-revealed characters.  Each seat will come with a gift set, which includes one of nine Mr. Osomatsu baseball cards, a cardholder, and a mini-poster.

Each ticket is worth 4,000 yen. The games will be held from 5 -6 March, at the Nagoya Dome and Osaka’s Kyoucera Dome respectively.

According to NPB Enterprise, the company that is planning the collaboration, Mr. Osomatsu was chosen because its fandom has spanned generations, from the original manga, which made its debut in 1966, to the new anime, which premiered last year. Meanwhile, J-Cast News has revealed that there is a possibility of the anime’s seiyuus making an appearance during the game.

According to the website, they might be the ones throwing the ceremonial first pitch of the game, or will be making an announcement.
