Comiket 89 has come and gone at the Tokyo Big Sight, and as expected, anime-related ads can be seen in the surrounding areas as part of the build-up to the event. Even the nearby Kokusai-Tenjijo Station gets littered with anime and game posters every time Comiket rolls into town. Amongst the advertisements includes the new visual for the new Kantai Collection anime!
The anime’s official website has also been updated, and it also features the new key visual, which shows the special-type destroyer, Fubuki.
The new Kantai Collection anime will be a sequel to the previous anime shown last winter 2015, and part of this new KanColle anime project will be a new animated film, as well as a new anime. Both the new TV anime and the new film are slated for 2016.
Another highly-anticipated anime also had its new poster spotted at the Kokusai-Tenjijo Station, and it’s none other than the new Berserk anime, which will be animating Guts as the Black Swordsman for the very first time!
Comiket 89 is has been held at the Tokyo Big Sight, from 29 – 31 December. The 3-day doujinshi market is considered the biggest in the world, and is held twice a year, once during summer (usually August) and once during winter (usually late December, just before New Year). This year over 500,000 attendees have been reported to have attended the show.
