“Singapore is a very special place to me,” said Rie fu, who currently lives in Singapore, “It is a lively and attractive place with a diverse cultural background. I’m interested in the emerging music scene here and I’ve realized that there are so many talented musicians here. I saw Goodfellas play at Timbre the first week I arrived in Singapore in 2014 and I’m excited to find out how our collaboration will add local flavour to my music.”

About Rie fu

With a soothing voice resembling Karen Carpenter and songwriting style inspired by the legends such as Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, and Carole King, Rie (ree-ay) has been active both as a singer/songwriter and a painter. Her international background (having the experience of living in U.S, U.K, and Singapore) has added a unique style as well as a distinct identity to her artistry.

Her first concert in Singapore was held in early 2015 at the Hood Bar & Café, attracting the local audience. In April/May 2015, she held a solo painting exhibition at the Japan Creative Centre (Japanese Embassy in Singapore), holding opening/closing acoustic shows. This will be her third solo concert, with a new approach such as the baby mother theme and the band collaboration.
