From 26 December until 6 January, the event floor space of Kotobukiya Akihabara played host to the Danboard Modeling Festival, which not only showcased customized Danboard figures, but also life-size statues of Yotsuba&!’s titular characterm Yotsuba, and the series’ cardboard robot mascot, Danboard. Crunchyroll’s Mikikazu Komatsu recently visited the exhibition, and took quite a few photos, including those two life-size figures.

The moment you arrive in front of the store, you will be greeted by Danboard, who will tell you that there is an exhibition going on in the building’s 5th floor.

Steiff’s Real Teddy Bear Duralumin was also displayed in the area.

Meanwhile, here are other images from the exhibition, which was also participated by Kaiyodo, Sen-Ti-Nel, and Taito. Various Danboard figures and merchandise were displayed, along with a few customized figures.

Meanwhile, Sen-Ti-Nel has turned Danboard, into Nyanboard in this exhibit.

The exhibition also featured some great dioramas, including “WildRiver” Naoto Arakawa’s “Circle Theater” and “Bonsai-kei Theater”.

Wow! That’s a lot of Danboards! Kinda makes you want to have more of your own.
