This comes after the manga went on a hiatus last May, which incidentally only came after a short hiatus which ended last April. The manga will make its return in Weekly Shounen Magazine 2016 version’s 9th edition, due to be released on 27 January 2016.

Last August 2014, Arakawa announced that she will slow down the pace of her manga to take care of an ailing relative. Now that treatment of that relative has been finished, Arakawa said that she will continue the production of the Silver Spoon manga as she is taking care of her family. The 13th volume of the manga meanwhile, has announced that the climax of the manga’s story will be “imminent.”

Hiromu Arakawa, a mangaka known not only for Silver Spoon, but also for being the creator of Full Metal Alchemist and the illustrator for the manga adaptation of The Heroic Legend of Arslan. All three of those series have received very successful anime adaptations.
