The live-action stage play adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail manga is getting some star power, as the official twitter page has finally revealed the play’s female lead, the Celestial Mage, Lucy Heartfilia, who is played by Takarazuka Revue veteran actress, Ayu Manaka.

Also revealed are the actors for the Lamia Scale Ice Creation Mage, Lyon Vastia, played by Ren Ozawa, as well as Hibiki Leytis, who is played by actor Kento Ono. Both actors are no strangers to anime/video game/ manga stage plays, as Ozawa played Eijun Sawamura in the Ace of Diamond stage play, while Ono appeared as Francisco Louis Astorga in Sakura Wars.

Previously, the actors for Natsu Dragneel, as well as Grey Fullbuster and Jellal Fernandes, were also revealed in their costumes.

The play will run more than 10 shows from 20 April to 9 May, over at the Sunshine Theater in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. It will be directed by Akiko Kodama, who is definitely no stranger to shounen mangas being turned into live-action stage plays, as he previously directed the live-action Naruto stage play, Live Spectacle Naruto, which was also shown in Singapore last year. More details about the play, as well as more characters in costume, will be revealed in the days ahead.
