[GAMES] Kantai Collection Winter 2016 Event Begins, New Ship Girls, Valentine's Day Costumes Revealed

Admirals, it’s that time of the seaon that everyone has been dreading again! That’s right, it’s finally event time, as the game’s new 10 February Update has brought us a new small-scale event, as well us bringing us some new Valentine’s Day costumes!

The new event is called “Sortie! Operation Rei-Go,” and it is a small-sclae event with only three maps. Only three new ship girls have been added to KanColle’s ever-growing roster, and they are:

Yuugumo-class Destroyer, Okinami (Boss drop, E-2 and E-3)

Akizuki-class Destroyer, Hastuzuki (E-2 Map Clear Reward)

Italian Zara-class Heavy Cruiser, Zara (E-3 Map Clear Reward)

Those wanting to get Zara may have to grind their teeth for a whole lot of trouble, as the event’s final boss is promising to be a tough nut to crack. Admirals not only have to drain the TP gauge in the final map, but also have to destroy the Final Boss, a new Abyssal called the Heavy Cruiser Princess, in order to clear the map and get Zara.

Those wanting to get Hatsuzuki are in for a fight as well, as clearing E-2 means Admirals have to get passed another newly-introduced Abyssal for the event, the Supply Depot Princess.

Rare ships like Mizuho, Akitsushima, Amagi, and Libeccio have been confirmed to drop during the event, while Graf Zeppelin has been confirmed to drop to those who don’t have her yet.

And since it’s THAT season already, several ship girls have also gotten their Valentine’s Day CGs, with everyone wanting to give chocolates to their admiral, awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Also added are a few V-Day voice lines from several ships.
