The highlight of the live event was undoubtedly the announcement of the latest additions to Pokemon series of games, Pokemon Sun and Moon, which will hit store shelves Holiday 2016. In addition to the seven languages previously available languages, players will now be able to enjoy Pokemon Sun and Moon in Traditional and Simplified Chinese. However, no other details, like legendaries or starter Pokemon were made known during the Direct event. However, you can check out the first trailer for Pokemon Sun and Moon down below.

In addition to the announcement of Pokemon Sun and Moon, Nintendo also announced that the re-released Virtual Console versions of Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow would have access to the Pokemon Bank system. This would allow players to transfer Pokemon caught in the first generation of the game to later iterations of the game, Pokemon Sun and Moon included.
