The official Seiyuu Awards website has now posted the winners for several of their awards, and they include the winners of the Merit Awards, Synergy Award, Special Award, the Kei Tomiyama Award, and Kazue Takahashi Award.
The winners revealed are:
Merit Awards
Given to seiyuus who contributed to the industry with their works in various genres, which include Japanese dubs for foreign films, anime, and other works
Sachiko Chijimatsu (Nobita’s mother from Doraemon, Kosuke Kita from Combattler V)
Tadashi Nakamura (Okusama wa Majou narrator, renowned Japanese dub actor for foreign films)
Michiko Nomura (Shizuka Minamoto from Doraemon, Wakame Isono from Sazae-san, Michi Shimamura from Speed Racer)
Synergy Award
Award is given to works that demonstrate the appeal of voice acting, and has helped the popularity of the voice acting industry
Chibi Maruko-chan (award to be accepted by TARAKO)
Kei Tomiyama Award
Award is given to male seiyuu who broadens the voice acting profession through various media
Showtaro Morikubo (Shikamaru Nara from Naruto and Goro Shigeno from Major)
Kazue Takahashi Award
The female counterpart to the Kei Tomiyama Award, it is given to female seiyuu who broadens the voice acting profession through various media
Kikuko Inoue (Oh! My Goddess’s Belldandy and Space Battleship Yamato 2199’s Starsha Iscandar)
Special Award
Given to seiyuus who deserve commendation but do not fit into any category
AOP
Risa Sakurana, Kei Tomoe, Yuki Hirose, Saori Ogino, Aoi Mizuki, and Yui Fukuo
(Seiyuu group which performed the theme songs for Ace of Diamond and Mr. Osomatsu)
The other awards, which include Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Newcomer Award, and more, will be revealed during the awarding ceremony, which will be held on 12 March 2016 at the Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Media Plus Hall. The winners announced in the categories above will also be receiving their awards during that very event.
