The official website for the upcoming Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale has been updated, and it reveals a brand new key visual for the movie that features Kirito and Asuna. The new visual gives us a glimpse of what the new Ordinal Scale game is going to look like, and it also teases us that Kirito will be using that dual wield skill of his in the movie.

It has also been confirmed that some of the supporting characters will be returning for the movie, with their respective seiyuu reprising their roles.

New character visuals for these four characters have also been revealed, and they are designed by abec, who illustrates the SAO light novels:

The “Augma,” an “Augmented Reality Device” which will be used as the platform for the Ordinal Scale game, has also been revealed. It is described to be a device which is “far more superior” than the amusphere or the original NervGear.

SAO creator, Reki Kawahara, has written the story of the film, which will take place after the events of the highly-emotional Mother’s Rosario arc. The film will follow a new adventure featuring Kirito and the gang, in a brand new game, with a brand new device.
