Renowned and critically-acclaimed anime director, Makoto Shinkai, is back with another movie offering, which is titled “Kimi no Na wa.” or “Your Name.”. Much like his previous works, this one promises to be quite emotional. The official TOHO movie channel has started streaming a new trailer for the new movie, which introduces us tom the two leads, Taki and Mitsuha.

A shorter version was also released, and it features the anime’s theme song, “Zen Zen Zense” by J-Rock band, RADWIMPS.

Best known for beautifully animated works like Voices of a Distant Star, The Garden of Words, and 5 Centimeters Per Second, Makoto Shinkai has made a name for himself with animated feature films. Kimi No Na Wa. will be the 42-year old director’s first new work since his critically-acclaimed Garden of Words. The film promises to be a “tale of love and miracles”, which will bring together Mitsuha Miyamizu, a girl living in a rural mountain area with her father, sister, and grandmother, and Taki Tachibana, a boy living in the bustling city streets of Tokyo. The two have never met, but have become connected by a dream of one another.
