Danganronpa 3 -The End of Hope’s Peak Academy- is one of this year’s most highly anticipated anime, and its official website has made several big announcements. The anime is split into two parts, Mirai hen, which will begin airing this July 2016 and takes place in the future, and Zetsubou hen, which will air sometime after. Several seiyuu for both parts have been announced, with Youko Hikasa reprising her role from both the original video game, as well as the anime adaptation, as the genius detective, Kyouko Kirigiri. She will be joined by Megumi Ogata, who will once again voice Makoto Naegi. Both will be appearing in the “Mirai Hen” part of the anime.

For the Zetsubou hen portion of the anime, Ogata will once again be appearing as the voice of Nagito Komaeda, who she also voiced in the Danganronpa 2 game. She will be joined by Yoshimasa Hosoya, who reprises his role as Kazuichi Souda from the second game. Zetsubou hen will be animating the events of the second game.

Danganronpa 3 – The End of Hope’s Peak Academy- will be serving as the conclusion to the Hope’s Peak Academy series, which includes the first two Danganronpa games, as well as the spin-off third person shooter. It will be featuring an original story not featured in any of the other murder mystery games by Spike Chuunsoft, as well as the story of the second game.
