Nana Mizuki is certainly no stranger to giant robots, as she not only voiced characters in mecha anime, but also performed the theme songs for some of them, including Valrave the Liberator and of course, Cross Ange. During her latest concert inside the Tokyo Dome last weekend, the “NANA MIZUKI LIVE GALAXY 2016,” she was seen alongside one gigantic robot… in real life!

While performing the song, “Glorious Break” from the Symphogear GX anime, the “ageless” seiyuu surprised fans as she introduced them to “GALAXY-7,” a hulking giant mecha which allowed Nana Mizuki to sit on it. “GALAXY-7” stands approximately 7.7 meters tall and weighs in at approximately 1.5 tons, not as big as the 18-meter 1/1 scale RX-78-2 Gundam over in Odaiba, but big none the less.

Aside from the giant robot, the “NANA MIZUKI LIVE GALAXY 2016” concert also featured an array of special effects and surprises. One of them was her entrance, where she entered via a space pod suspended above the audiences using balloons. In addition, she sang on top of an UFO.

A total of 25 songs were performed on each day of the concert, which was held from 9 – 10 April 2016. 80,000 people attended her 2-day concert. The songs included “ETERNAL BLAZE,” which was her opening song, as well as “VIRGIN CODE,” “Love’s Wonderland,” Suddenly: Meguriaete,” and many more. Check out a few more images from her concerts:

Now, we wouldn’t be surprised if we see ninjas (Naruto), vampires (blood-C), dragons (Cross Ange), and of course, magical girls (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) in her future concerts now, won’t we?
