Captain America: Civil War has just premiered in Japan, but its official Japanese illustration has gotten a magical twist. Renowned mangaka, Hiro Mashima, who is behind the two very successful shounen manga, Fairy taikl and RAVE Master, was comissioned to illustrate the battle between Captain America and Iron Man for the film’s Japanese release.

The illustration will also be featured in several limited edition merchandise, such as tote bags and T-shirts, and will be distributed in select theaters across Japan.

Mashima may be one of the most successful mangaka in Japan today, and is aware of his fame abroad as he often engages his foreign followers in English. However, Hiro-sensei seems to have a thing for Heroes, as he is a self-professed Marvel fan.
