The Gundam franchise has pioneered the Real Robot genre, which means that the anime is much more scientifically realistic than its Super Robot counterparts. Soon all that might become a reality, as the franchise has teamed up with JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and Animax to bring to life some scenes from the Gundam the Origin anime.

The project is called the Gundam: The Origin Technology Labo, and it will feature scientists and engineers from JAXA attempting to “recreate the various space phenomena” portrayed in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin. Details on the lab have not yet been fully revealed yet, but this project has been made in celebration to the release of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III – Dawn of Rebellion, which will premiere in Japan on 21 May 2016 in selected theaters across Japan.

So, what do you guys think will be recreated in the lab? Will they be able to prove the existence of Minovsky particles and prove that mobile suits are possible? Well, not really, but kinda makes you wonder what else are they cooking up, huh?
