A poster for the upcoming Monogatari series prequel movie, Kizumonogatari: Nekketsu-hen, has been spotted, and it features the deadly vampire who would soon become Shinobu Oshino, Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. It also reveals the premiere date for the movie.
The poster announces that the film will premiere in Japan on 19 August 2016, which coincides with the previous announcement that it will premiere in summer 2016. Here is a better look at the movie’s new visual:
Based on the prequel light novel by NisiOisin, this long-awaited anime film adaptation of Kizumonogatari tells the story of how Koyomi Araragi came to have his vampiric powers, and how he saved the day from Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade.
Elsewhere in the Monogatari universe, it was announced that one of the two upcoming Monogatari light novels by NisiOisin, Nademonogatari (“Caressing Story”), will be released 29 July, in honour of character Nadeko Sengoku’s birthday.The other upcoming Monogatari light novel, Musubimonogatari (“Binding Story”), will be released later this year.
