Kuroko’s Basketball is getting FOUR new animated films. The first movie titled Kuroko’s Basketball: Winter Cup Compilation ~Shadow and Light~ (Winter Cup Soushuu-hen ~Kage to Hikari~), will be making its premiere this 3 September in Japan, and the official Kuroko’s Basketball YouTube channel has started streaming the first film’s trailer:

Teasing of the imminent face-off between Seirin and Touou, the video gives us a taste of the movie’s yet-to-be-titled theme song, which is performed by Old Codex. Check out the first movie’s new visual:

The video also announces the release date for the second film, ~Beyond the Tears~m which will be on 8 October, and the third film, which will be on 3 December. The fourth and final film will be adapting Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s sequel manga, Kuroko’s Basketball: Extra Game, which will be released sometime in 2017.

The First three movies will be compiling the events of the Winter Cup tournament, while the fourth film will be adapting the sequel manga, where Team Vorpal Swords, composed of a dream team of players from the series, will be taking on American team, Team Jabberwock.
