The prestigious Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra has revealed that they are planning a totally new kind of concert, and this one involves everyone’s favorite leek-toting virtual diva Hatsune Miku. This is a special event that has been described as their “first-ever concert to showcase music by Hatsune Miku.”
This may not be the first orchestral concert featuring Miku, but this will be the first one which will only feature her songs. The NHK Symphony Orchestra had previously featured her songs back in March, along with the music from other artistes. Titled “Miku Symphony”, this orchestra will feature the artwork of one of her most famous illustrators, KEI.
Tickets for the concert are now available via convenience store chain, FamilyMart, which has a long history of Hatsune Miku collaborations. These tickets however, aren’t cheap, as the S seat tickets will cost 9,000 yen plus tax, while the A seat tickets will cost 8,000 yen plus tax. There will also be a special ticket package, which will include concert merchandise, and it will cost 14,800 yen plus tax.
The performance will be held at the Tokyo International Forum Hall A at 7:00 pm on 26 August 2016, with doors opening at 6:00 pm.
