In a series of tweets, seiyuu Yuko Miyamura has announced that she is now divorcing from her husband, stuntman Takayuki Seki, whom she married back in 2004.
In her tweets, she said that she is now happy and can’t wait to go home to Japan, where she stated that she wants to see Japanese fireworks and eat ramen, and then after doing all those things, she said that she is filing those divorce papers.
Yuko-san is best known for voicing Neon Genesis Evangelion’s Asuka Langley Soryuu. She moved to Australia with her estranged husband back in 2009, together with the rest of their family. As for their children, she said that she made her decision to divorce her husband for them. However, she did look back fondly at her 12-year marriage, as she stated “Cheers to 12 years” in one of her tweets.
