Air Jordan is an iconic franchise in the basketball industry, and it took Nike long enough to finally come up with a collaboration with Inoue Takehiko’s classic basketball manga series Slam Dunk. The collaboration will feature not just one but two one-of-a-kind, Slam Dunk x Air Jordan shoes, the Air Jordan 6 and the Jordan Superfly 3.
Fans of the manga series would remember that the protagonist, Hanamichi Sakuragi was seen wearing Air Jordan 6 throughout the season after his Jordan 1 was spoiled. Well, this newly designed Air Jordan 6 is backed up with an illustration that highlights some of the crucial scenes from the series as well as Sakuragi’s famed jersey number stitched on the outside heel of the shoes. This red Air Jordan 6 sneakers retail at the price of ¥30,240 (S$357)
On the other hand, the Jordan Superfly 3 sneakers bear an exclusive design. It features never before seen illustration during Sakuragi‘s rehabilitation training. The sneakers cost around ¥20,520 (S$242).
Alongside the sneakers, a t-shirt bearing Sakuragi’s jersey number (¥6580) and a cap (¥5940) will also be sold at the online store.
