Recently announced at the Press Conference just minutes ago, Qualidea Code will be appearing as a featured Anime for Anime Festival Asia 2016!
So what exactly is Qualidea Code?
Qualidea Code is a collaboration among Shueisha’s Dash, Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, MF Bunko J, Gagaga Bunko and Jump Square. Marvelous and the writing unit Speakeasy did the original concept of this series. The light novels is currently in serialisation since 2015 with already a few books already out, as well as a manga planning to be released later this year serialised by Jump Square. The anime has started airing since yesterday, July 10 2016.
Qualidea Code takes place in a world where mankind are warring against an enemy called the “Unknown”. Children who were evacuated to a cold sleep facility during the invasion by the “Unknown” several decades ago awaken from their sleep and have learnt that their bodies have developed supernatural abilities. In order to protect Japan from these “Unknown” who are emerging from the Tokyo Bay gate, these boys and girls wage battles in the defense of Tokyo, Kanagawa and Chiba.

And we even has a special guest seiyuu who will be attending AFATH as part of the festivities! Introducing…..Ayaka Fukuhara!
Most famously known as Rin Shibuya in The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls, she will be voicing the character Rindo Hotaru in Qualidea Code! With Rin being her debut role as a seiyuu which has led her to work on a few mobile games and anime here and there, she’s finally getting a bigger role again. I’m really glad to see she’s been doing well as a seiyuu and I hope for the best in her performance as Rindo Hotaru!
